Michele graduated from George Washington University in Washington D.C. with a degree in Accountancy and shortly after attained her CPA license from the State of Maryland.
Michele began her career as a staff auditor for Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Washington D.C. and provided audit and assurance services to some of our nation’s most prestigious institutes, including the American Red Cross and the National Cathedral. After leaving Deloitte, Michele worked on the “inside” with the Internal Revenue Service as a taxpayer specialist in Singapore. She serviced U.S. expatriates with their filing needs in 11 countries in Southeast Asia. As part of her responsibilities, she traveled to all of these countries to lead seminars on American Income tax filing requirements. Years of professional participation and valuable pragmatic experience enabled Michele to contribute substantially to several U.S. – Asian income tax treaties.
Subsequently, Michele operated a real estate mortgage company in California; currently holding a California Real Estate Broker License. Michele is currently studying towards a Master of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California’s prestigious Leventhal School of Accounting.
Michele manages and addresses a variety of client needs. Her expertise with tax controversy and forensic-accounting projects has led her to become one of the most valuable CPA’s in our firm. Michele can quite effectively provide exemplary forensic services by tracing payments and recreating files for clients whose records have not been maintained throughout the years.
She also specializes in tax-exempt organizations and negotiating with government agencies on various tax-controversy matters. Our international and real estate clients admire Michele for her direct experience in these specialized areas as well. Michele’s extensive experience in all matters of tax law and accounting procedures makes an invaluable asset to all our clients.
